KATHARSIS

2022

CGI / ART DIRECTION / CONCEPT

A project with photographer Pascal Schonlau exploring futuristic athletics and movements under the influence of technological developments in sport. Pascal approached Existential Pleasures Studio to collaborate, with us creating, modelling and art directing the 3D scenes and him photographing the model to seamlessly integrate him into the CG world. We created slightly surreal environment with beautiful skies and utilised golden sunlight to provide a slight glow to the imagery. The resulting images went on to be featured in German publication KALTBLUT magazine.

ESSORANT

BRANDING / GRAPHIC DESIGN

Approached to lead the design work for a upcoming crypto startup by the name of ‘Deep Blue’. I was briefed to create to make sure the overall branding reflected the companies ethos’ of strength, security and driving digital currency towards the future. Due to the companies ambitions and ties within the asian market the logo mark was inspired by Chinese golden ships known as the ‘Feng Shui’ sailing ships (also called wealth ships). It is believed that this wealth ship will not only create abundance in wealth but it also protects existing wealth from being loss therefore it was great symbol to reference as it directly aligned with the companies ambitions. The logo also mimics the 3D form of two coins being stacked on top of one another representing the fact that tokens are pegged at 1-to-1 with a matching fiat currency and are backed 100%.

BOTTEGA BOOT EXPLORATION
2024
CGI/ART DIRECTION/CONCEPT

Exploration of the Bottega Puddle Boot. Playing with the flexible properties of rubber to create animations which looks to mesmerise and relax the viewer showing the beauty of the boots simple form. For the art direction I looked to create a dramatic light setup that highlighted the boot as it morphed and flexed within each scene further adding to the dramatic and whilst relaxing nature of the animation.

Within a studio setup we look to mimic an ever evolving natural environment which constantly shifts to test the limits of the luggage. Whether it be rough terrain, rainfall or intense sunlight. Creation of a dynamic light setup with proovided dramtic lighting throughout the study.
